1 Dynamic Positioning systems

The martime industry requested to clarify the requirements and make the issuance of a Flag State Verification and Acceptance Document (by ROs) with regard to dynamic positioning possible. In order to do so NSI changed the status of MSC Circular 645 GUIDELINES FOR VESSELS WITH DYNAMIC POSITIONING SYSTEMS into a policy rule. This will apply to dynamically positioned units or vessels for which the keel of which is laid or which is at a similar stage of construction on or after 1 July 1994.
