The Netherlands Military Law Review is one of the oldest journals in the Netherlands. From 1903 until July 1905, this journal was published under the title 'Military Jurisprudence' (Militaire Jurisprudentie). Since July 1905, the journal is published under the title 'Military Law Review' (Militair Rechtelijk Tijdschrift). The journal has not been published between July 1943 and January 1946. The Netherlands Military Law Review appears six times a year and is publicly available on the website.
The Netherlands Military Law Review contains academic articles and opinions on military legal affairs as well as international and national administrative, criminal and military disciplinary law jurisprudence. The views expressed in the publications do not necessarily reflect the views of the Dutch Government or the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
De Editorial Board of the Netherlands Military Law Review consists of the Heads of the Legal Affairs departments of each of the four services, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and experts from other ministries, the judicial branch and academia. The Editorial Board is chaired by a retired general officer and supported by an active military legal adviser as secretary. The Board reviews the draft articles and provides feedback to the authors.

If you wish to search for the publications in English, please go to Search, press 'Selecteer kenmerk' next to 'Taal' and select 'Engels'. After selecting 'Engels', please press 'Toevoegen' and 'Zoek' in the top right corner. All the publications in English will appear. If you wish to search for publications by a specific author, please go to the Register. A list of authors will appear on the left. Please select the author whose publications you wish to read.
